This model, first built to help provide France with the mass transportation of goods required to rebuild the nation after the Second World War, displays the insignia of France's oldest major cognac house, Martell. Established in 1715, Martell is one of an exclusive number of houses entitled to use the name 'Cognac' under the 'Appelation controlée' decree which determines every aspect of a cognac's production.
